Our mission is to inspire parents to demand change, disrupt educational inequities, and help to create a brighter, more equitable future for all students.

Literacy

 In 2022, APS 8th grade students who were eligible for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) had an average score that was 35 points lower than that for students who were not eligible. Atlanta Thrive actively advocates for literacy programs that support all students, regardless of their zip code. [Source]

Special Education

In the 2021-2022 School year, only 61.9% of APS  students with IEPs graduated from high school with regular diplomas. Atlanta Thrive is advocating for better special education programming, led by transparency, equity and accountability. [Source]

School Safety

The State of Georgia has set aside $115 million in school safety grants that are available to every K-12 school in Georgia. Atlanta Thrive advocating for the prioritization of school safety on every campus in APS.
